Atelier Céladon is seeking short films on the interactions of people of colour diasporic communities for our film screening program curated in conjunction with Common Aliens: Diaspora Conference 2015 to be held in early October. Submission conditions include (but are not limited to): recent work (up to last year), total running time under 60 minutes, any category (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental) and any genre, any language with English subtitles. Submissions must include a viewing link and password, and sent to info@atelierceladon.com before 10 August 2015. Please submit images with your email as well as a descriptive text.
Atelier Céladon is seeking multidisciplinary artists that create work on the intersections of people of colour diasporic communities for a month-long exhibition curated in conjunction with Common Aliens: Diaspora Conference 2015 to be held in late-September. Thematic guides for submissions include (but are not limited to): race lines on the internet, (dis)embodied identity, diasporal rhythms, affective belonging, visibility, borders, etc. Submissions of finished work that was created or reworked within the last year, as well as proposals for works yet unmade can be sent to info@atelierceladon.com before 10 August 2015. Atelier Céladon is seeking multidisciplinary academic writing, personal/experimental criticism, reviews, essays, ramblings, musings, and conversations on the intersections of people of colour diasporic communities and visual culture for the first edition of its annual publication, this year themed Writing on Diaspora. Thematic guides for submissions include (but are not limited to): race lines on the internet, (dis)embodied identity, diasporic rhythms, diasporic affects and performance, visibility, borders, etc. The publication will be edited in conjunction with Common Aliens: Diaspora Conference 2015. Submissions of finished work, as well as proposals for unwritten works can be sent to info@atelierceladon.combefore 10 August 2015.
